Do you love music and summertime weather? Many local area shopping centers and parks offer a summer concert series that takes place every week featuring new live music performances. Grab a bite to eat at nearby restaurants or at the stationed food trucks then plop yourself on a blanket and enjoy the music!
Blakeney Shopping Center has a Summer Concert Series from 6-9pm every Thursday for the months of June, July and August. Featured bands include Soundbarrier, The Inlaws Band, Matt Stratford and Borderlyne. The playground will be open to entertain children and dogs are welcome! Some dining options are Brixx Pizza, Shake Shack, 131 Main, Zoë’s Kitchen, Chili’s Grill & Bar and Chopt.
Stonecrest Shopping Center has live music at The Fountain stage every Friday & Saturday for the months of June, July and August from 7-10pm. A few of the bands being featured are Dukes & Smith, Leslie & Friends, and Stella Rising. Some nearby dining options include TRUE Crafted Pizza, Cantina 1511, Pearlz Oyster Bar, Firebirds Wood Fire Grill, Smashburger and Nothing but Noodles.
Anne Springs Close Greenway in Fort Mill offers a concert every Thursday night beginning at 6:30pm lasting about 3 hours. There will be beer, wine and sodas available for purchase; as well as food trucks on site. Some of the food trucks are King of Pops, Archie Boy’s BBQ, Fresh Med, Cib! Cib! And New Wrap. It is free for members and $5 for non-members.
The Town of Matthews has a summer concert and food truck event in Stumptown Park on the 2nd & 4th Fridays from April to September. The event is free, from 5:00-9:00pm and music starts at 5:30. There will be weekly beach, jazz, pop and country bands and a variety of stationed food trucks.
Waverly Shopping Center has one live music event scheduled for July 20th at The Terrace, located in front of the Hilton Garden Inn, on the Waverly Walk stage from 7-10pm. This performance features The Mo Money Band. Pets are also welcome! Some dining options are Taziki’s, Viva Chicken, Yama, Chuy’s, Ted’s Montana Grill and Chickfila. Waverly also encourages you to get takeout or to pack a meal and have a picnic.
